This piece is part of a collaborative series bringing together Material Lights signature ostrich eggshell lampshade with ceramicist Andrea Tsang's hand-shaped ceramic in a quiet exploration of light, form, and surface.
Soft light filters through the eggshell, which becomes gently translucent when illuminated. The light remains calm and contained, allowing the subtle texture of the shell to read clearly against the matte-glazed ceramic base.
The curved ceramic form is shaped by hand, giving the base a grounded, tactile quality that contrasts with the lightness of the eggshell above. Together, the materials sit in close dialogue, creating an object that feels balanced between sculpture and light.
