Stockholm Creative Edition is a curated design exhibition bringing together independent studios working across furniture, lighting, and objects, with a strong focus on material exploration, craftsmanship, and contemporary practice.
Material Lights was selected to participate in the 2025 edition, presenting a selection of sculptural lighting objects exploring translucency, surface, and form. Works in hand-carved Egyptian alabaster, wood, and ostrich eggshell were shown together, highlighting different material responses to light and the role of illumination in shaping atmosphere.
Alongside existing pieces, the exhibition included new works handcrafted by founders Nada El-Kateb and Toma Sova, as well as a new collaboration with ceramicist Andrea Tsang. Shown within the context of Stockholm Creative Edition, the work was presented as a dialogue between material, process, and light rather than as finished products alone.
