Rooted in a tradition dating back to ancient Egypt, our hand-carved alabaster is expertly shaped by Luxor’s Qurna Center artisans using time-honored techniques.

Comet is the manifestation of the architect in us—a celebration of light, form, and structure. With the warm glow of alabaster seamlessly blending with clean, modern lines, it bridges contemporary design with timeless geometry. Its standout walnut base, crafted from two interlocking walnut sheets, forms a graceful arch reminiscent of vaulted truss dome roofs, paying homage to classical architecture.

Lighting properties

The natural translucence of the alabaster creates a softly lit ambient light, reminiscent of a warm, candle-like glow. The material has a smooth, waxed surface with delicate veining that resembles marble. The interplay of light and material reflects its creamy, opaque hues and intricate patterns, bringing out the natural textures and beauty of the alabaster.
